đŚ Model Description
This accessory is made up of three main components:
- Bambu Lab AMS hub reinforcement, precisely calibrated to fit perfectly
- Modular cable chain
- Power cable guide, included in version 7
đ Itâs also possible to use only the filament guides with the hotend power cable housing, if preferred.
Since I recently repositioned the AMS, I personally found this solution to be more practical and versatile.

𧹠Main Features
- Stabilizes the hub vertically, preventing flexing
â hub flex can cause filament loading issues - Guides the filament into the hub while keeping it perfectly perpendicular
đ Trust me, thereâs nothing more frustrating than trying to figure out why the filament wonât load after every printâespecially when it works perfectly on the original stand. - Keeps the AMS Lite Bowden tubes and the hotend power cable organized, preventing tangling
- Maintains vertical alignment of the Bowden tubes, improving reliability and consistency during filament changes
â Thanks to this simple modification, loading errors are virtually eliminated.
đ§ Improvements
- The hub is now much easier to remove
- Bowden tube insertion is easier, thanks to the removable top section
- If the AMS is not positioned on the right side of the printer, cable guides with integrated hotend power cable routing could be inconvenient
đ Using a separate cable guide makes the setup more comfortable and flexible
đ Included Segments
- Standard cable guides
- Cable guides with hotend power cable housing
- Spring-loaded guides, to be mounted above the toolhead to preserve the hubâs spring action
- Guides with external spool inlet
đ All of this is achieved without interfering with the hubâs original spring-loaded movement â full functionality is preserved.
đ¨ď¸ Printing Tips
- No special settings required.
- Since this accessory fits onto the hub, different materials may behave slightly differently regarding tolerances and shrinkage.
- Supports are enabled purely for aesthetics, but are not strictly necessary.
- I recommend using black filament if you print the hotend cable guide, as it blends in perfectly.
- âď¸ PLA or PETG are sufficient â no need for expensive filaments.
