Description

In using an Nvidia RTX5090 with my Fractal Torrent case, found that the 600W power connector location on the large card did not allow for a generous bend in the power cable (the cable would be smashed by the side panel). I designed this 5 piece side panel to replace the stock one and includes a large recess to accommodate the 600W power cable.

You assemble the cover by using the included connectors. I printed one and then adjusted the connector XY scale to fit. I ended up with 106% to get a good fit and printed the 7 needed. Depending on chosen material, you may need more scaling.

  1. Start with the two corner pieces on the left half of this image and press on 2 of the connectors from the inside direction to join them. I had to press them on using the flat face of the pliers in the image below.
  2. Connect the subassembly of the two panels on the right side the same way.
  3. Sandwich the center panel between the two using the slot that goes around its perimeter and use the last 3 connectors to finish the side panel.

Unfortunately, this design eliminated the removal tab on the top left of the stock panel design to fit on two print plates width-wise. But I don't seem to have any issue grabbing the top left corner to remove the panel.
