Description

I added some 80/20 aluminum extrusion to my cheap amazon wheel stand for some extra rigidity. While I was doing this I just started going down the rabbit hole looking for a keyboard holder or stand or something for my K400 that I would be able to mount to the 80/20 and be able to easily find it, use it, and put it away, all with my VR headset on.

I couldn't find what I was looking for so…. I just designed it.

It prints in a couple of hours with no supports and pretty minimal material usage for it's size.

I also plan on uploading a version without the mounting points on it so you could add multipoint or whatever else you wanted to add. In the meantime I did upload the .step file so you should be able to download it and modify it however you see fit.

The K400 slides in beautifully. I would maybe recommend some felt or soft silicone at the bottom of the holster to dampen the impact if you plan to just let the kb slide down in. I did have an earlier version where that impact broke one of the mounting ears at the layer line. I haven't had that problem (yet!) with V4, but YMMV.
