Mill Board Game

Description
Nine Men's Morris is a classic board game for two players, where each player has nine pieces. The goal is to form a line of three of one's own pieces (a "mill") to remove opposing pieces from the board or to immobilize the opponent. The game proceeds in three phases: placing the pieces, moving the pieces, and later, jumping with the pieces. The first player to reduce an opponent to two pieces or to block their pieces so they can no longer make moves wins the game
The game proceeds in three phases:
Placement Phase:
Players take turns placing one piece each, a total of nine pieces per player, on the intersection or corner points of the board
Movement Phase:
The game pieces are moved, meaning each player may move one piece per round to an adjacent, free point. If a player cannot move a piece, they lose
Endgame Phase:
As soon as a player has only three pieces left, they may jump with their pieces, meaning they can now jump one piece to any free point per round. As soon as another piece is taken from them, they lose the game
Three pieces of the same color that lie in a straight line on adjacent fields are called a "mill". If a player closes a mill, they may remove any one of the opponent's pieces from the game, provided that piece is not also part of a mill. Official tournament rules since 2010 allow taking a piece from a closed mill if the opponent only has pieces in closed mills. However, regionally and sometimes in commercially marketed products, this is handled differently
Draw:
A game can also end in a draw, for example, if the same position is reached three times or if no mill has been closed after a certain number of moves
