Description

A Rugged Box for the Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo and the DJI RC 2 equipped with a Sunhood.

It's based on my "DJI Mini 3 / 4 Fly More Case":

The Rugged Box itself is an adaptation of "Rugged Box (Parametric)" on Printables:
https://www.printables.com/model/258431-rugged-box-parametric

External dimensions:
236.8 x 137.7 x 181.8 (152.4+29.4) mm

With the use of the provided shims (green), all Mini 3 to Mini 4 controllers fit ( and most likely the upcomming Mini 5 too).

Most likely the DJI RC (for the Mini 3) equipped with a Sunhood fits as well.
In Bambu Studio use the "Lay on Face" & "Cut" commands on the Inlay/Interior to print a test piece.

The width of the Strap Buckle is parametric.
The provided Print Profile is 25mm.

I have a cover that slides on the entire front of the drone that covers the sensor and the gimbals.

The Inlay Brick is designed for the drone with it's original cover attached. In the corresponding picture you see my drone with this cover, only I had to paint it gray to be able to make a 3d scan of it.

Hi It looks amazing One quick question, Do i need to print the interior with PETG or can I do PLA for interior? PETG on the case for durability for sure. Its because i only have one roll of PETG and Case+interior is more than 1kg haha

Oh sweet. I will print the case with PETG and interior with PLA then I do have a mini 4k. not the pro, will your other model work?

The Mini 2, Mini 2se and Mini 4k all have the same dimensions. I never owned one of these, I own the original Mavic Mini and designed an Inlay Brick for it that fits this case. I suggest you start with printing the "Mavic Mini Inlay Brick" (only 67g) and see if your Mini 4k fits in it. Then please report back to me and I will modify it to fit the Mini 4-5 case.

First of all: Thank you very much for the Boosts ! The original propellor protective case is meant for storing the drone in a soft case or your pocket, it's not needed when storing the drone in a hard case like this one.
