Description

Coaster holder available here

This set contains 5 different coasters inspired by “Kumiko,” a traditional Japanese woodworking technique.

Since I couldn't find a coaster design that exactly matched my ideas, I designed my own.

The coasters have a diameter of 100 mm and consist of four different parts each, so you can mix and match the colors to suit your preferences. I only selected three colors for my print, but four different colors would be easily possible. When you open the design in BambuStudio, you can select a color for each of these parts:

  • bottom
  • main
  • pattern
  • ring

Unlike my other coasters, these are not printed with the visible side facing the print bed, as they have a certain depth. This helps prevent the glass from sticking to the coaster when it has a lot of condensation on it. I also think this gives it a nice feel and look.

The prints take a little longer than normal, as I have turned on ironing for all top surfaces.

I would be very interested to see how your prints turned out and which colors you chose. Please feel free to share a photo.
