Description

This is a model for an oval banneton for shaping sourdough bread. It is very similar to the bamboo baskets that can be bought online.

The dimensions are:

  9" x 5"

  24cm x 140 cm

Thanks!

Nice print, I just made myself some white sourdough bread 👍. A round basket would be good too Thanks for the file

4/5 Good for what I need it to do, but the outside edges printed very stringy in the grooves (this was with new pla filament with a brand new A1) maybe adjust model to have flat outer walls if others are having the same issue? I’m very new to 3d printing so that’s my very green 2 cents haha

That’s interesting. I’ve never had an issue printing that model. I’m sorry that you had that problem… I wonder if it was related to your filament, maybe overhangs should be slowed down a little. I will experiment with it some and possibly repost an updated set of files. But, I do appreciate the feedback, thank you!

Sent this to Bambu Studio to add color to the top ring and printed with Bambu PLA Basic. Found loose strands on one outer side of the banneton - cosmetic only. Still learning on the P2S, so perhaps a simple temperature or speed adjustment would correct. I line my bannetons with floured fabric. The cost savings of this versus any in the store (wood or otherwise) is quite remarkable. Note: Longer print time due to multiple filament changes.

do you need to flour it or put a cloth to use it. never made sourdough before and I just started my starter but want to know how to use this so I cna print one instead of buying one. thanks in advance.

I put a good layer of flour down to help prevent the dough from sticking. Put some on the dough ball before placing in the banneton too.
