Do you like my designs? Then hit boost, please. This helps me a lot, especially as my recent designs get more complicated and thus expensive to prototype. Boosts help me to afford new prototyping filament and printer replacement parts. Thank you!

This package contains several jigs for sharpening woodturning tools with wet stone grinders like the Record Power WG-200/250 or Tormek devices.

 

It includes a tool rest like available from Tormek, a short tool jig like available from Record Power and model files for the gouge sharpening jig by JL Designs (a Tormek SVD-186R remodel) that they did not include in their upload and remixes of two parts to fit metric nuts and bolts. Not provided by JL Designs were the stop block for the whole assembly and a knob that fits onto a M8 machine screw head. Also added are the main jig assembly to fit a M8 nut and a M8 carriage bolt without too much wiggle and tolerance (the original is too wide for the M8 carriage bolt). You still need the other required model files for the whole assembly of the gouge sharpening jig, so please head on over to JL Designs, download his model :)

The stop block needs a M3 heat insert and M3 screw to tighten. The jig for short tools and the tool rest both require M4 heat inserts and M4 bolts to fix the tool.

I use all the tools according to the original Tormek instructions.

 

I use all those jigs with the  Turning tool setter by Krusnik which is a printable version of the Tormek TTS-100. There is also a remodel of the Tormek SVS-50 by STER for skew chisels which is not in use with me.

 

I printed basically everything from ASA-CF  on my Core One. Some models will also work with PLA and PETG, so choose what fits your supplies best. 

 

 

For all of my models that include supports, I highly recommend a detailing / support removal tool like the one from anish or C59. Those make use of a replacement filament cutter and have proven themselves a very valuable tool for clean and easy support removal, especially for threads. 

 

Also, please keep in mind, that the quality of threads is highly dependent on the quality and dryness of your filament, the calibration of your printer and the print resolution. A thread printed with .2mm layer height will be way harder to thread nicely and will require more force, than a thread printed at .08mm or .12mm layer height. Also, the Arachne wall generator does contribute a lot to precise threads. If you need more part strength, increase the number of walls, make use of the alternate extra wall feature and DO NOT use PLA.
