Modular Router Bit Storage: 6,8,12mm & ¼,½″ Shanks

These router bit holders allow you to organise your ever-growing collection of router bits. There are versions with different widths and also a variant that holds the bits a a shallower angle (to store long bits without using too much height).  There are little rails that keep the bits from falling out. The bits can either be slid in from the front or snapped in from the top.

The holders are available in all common shank sizes (6 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm,  ¼″, ½″) and several widths (20 mm to 40 mm in 5 mm increments), so you can choose the right ones for your respective bit sizes. All models are in the 3mf file, so just print whatever you need.

You can just glue them down into whatever drawer you are using and they fit seamlessly next too each other. Alternatively, they can be mounted on a wall or other vertical surface.

The flat area at the front can be used to label your bits. It is 15 mm high and however wide your respective holder is. You can of course just glue labels on there. If you want to directly transfer prints on there like I did, you can use the template I attached as documentation as a starting point.

I have provided versions for all common shank sizes, although I could only really try 8 mm. Please let me know if the other sizes work as well if you try them.
