Description

Overview:

I’m a woodturner and have several chucks and even more sets of chuck jaws.  They have been rattling around in a drawer for years until I finally decided to create some gridfinity bins for them using Zach Freedman’s system. I didn’t want to create something hanging on the wall to fill up with wood shavings.  I wanted something low profile that would fit in the shallow drawers of my cabinet.

I use the bins that have multiple jaw sets, but I’ve included bins for each size individually as well. In addition, I’ve included my Fusion 360 files, so you customize them further.  Adjust the number of slots (grid size), and the measurements of one jaw. You will need to play around with the slot parameters, but I would start with more than you need then back off.  The design has spots at the back and to the right to fill in the extra spaces with pockets to store screws, wrenches, etc. After adjusting the parameters, it will usually be necessary to tweak several features in the timeline, most notably the feature that combines all of the grid elements.  Simply edit that feature, remove the selected geometry, then select all and combine.

I really like the way these turned out, and they fit well in my shallow drawers.

NOTE: these will probably work with Record Power jaws as well.
