White-Tail Doe: Digital Taxidermy Skeletal Suite

Detailed Description Bring the natural beauty of the South Carolina wilderness to your printer. This collection features high-resolution digital scans of a female White-Tail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus). Using a Revopoint Pop3 Digital Scanner, I have meticulously captured the organic geometry of these remains to provide an educational and artistic resource.

This isn't just a single bone; it is a comprehensive skeletal kit. From the delicate structure of the nasal cavity in the skull to the complex articulating surfaces of the vertebrae, these models honor the animal by preserving its form in the digital realm forever.

The collection includes:

  • Complete Skull: Includes two versions (one with the natural weathered hole preserved, and one digitally repaired/closed).
  • The Mandible: High-detail lower jaw.
  • The Spine: Includes the Atlas, the full neck (C3-C6) both as a single unit and individual bones, and the lower spine (L1-L6) with individual parts for L1, L2, and L3.
  • Appendicular Pieces: Humerus, Femur, and a beautifully thin Shoulder Blade (Scapula).
  • Pelvic Assembly: Sacrum and two different back hips from separate animals for comparison.
  • Bonus Items: A single antler/horn and a high-detail tooth.

Functional Uses & History These bones were ethically sourced from the coastal marshes and mountain forests of South Carolina.

  • Educational: Perfect for biology classrooms, STEM programs, and veterinary students to study articulation without the need for chemical cleaning of real remains.
  • Artistic: Use these as reference for digital sculpting or as physical props for still-life "Memento Mori" art.
  • Customization: While these scans are high-fidelity, they are organic. I recommend using Meshmixer or Fusion360 for fine-tuning or scaling for your specific project.

Remix & Cosplay Potential These files are a goldmine for creators!

  • Druid/Shaman Cosplay: Scale the skull up or down for headpieces or staff toppers (#CosplayProp).
  • Interior Design: Mount the shoulder blade or skull as "Faux Taxidermy" for a rustic aesthetic (#HomeDecor).
  • Jewelry: Scale the vertebrae or the tooth down to create unique, macabre pendants and earrings (#3DPrintedJewelry).

If you are using these for armor or wearable character designs, ensure your fit is perfect by using my Cosplay Calipers here: Cosplay Calipers Measuring Tool
