Description

Boost Me (for free)

Hey! I hope that you LOVED my model. I spent a lot of my own time putting this together, and truly hope it made your life easier. If you really enjoy what I've put out, please consider giving the model a boost and a review with 5 stars, a story, and a picture! It's free, doesn't take much time, and helps me out a lot! I want to keep making these models as they come to me, and I need your help to do so. Thanks a lot!!

All printers should work with all profiles so long as the parts fit on your bed size; sometimes Makerworld doesn't play nice. Try downloading them regardless and edit as needed.

The Makerworld time estimate will vary based on which printer you use.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Some friends and I held a real-life survivor weekend over Labor Day 2025, and I was tasked with making the voting urn as I am the creative one (and I have a 3D printer). I made the whole thing from scratch, designing all the tiki faces and everything myself!

It of course doesn't have to be used for the same thing, but it could be useful for some niche voting purpose, or maybe just as a fun flower pot!

I printed mine out of PLA wood, then hand-sanded it with 120-grit in the direction of the layers, and stained it with some wood stain using paint brushes! The pictures I've posted are shown with this stain, and the later pictures are shown without. I forgot to take pictures of the mushroom cap before sanding (oops) so that's why it looks that way. However, that can give you an idea of how much I sanded it to get it to look the way it does.

It feels and smells just like wood! Everyone seemed to notice it and enjoy it, I'm sure they will for you, too! I'm really proud of what I created here!

Keep in mind that if you stain it like I did where only the details are painted, the stain is likely to run a lot in-between layers and give an undesirable result if you aren't careful. I had to get barely any stain on my paint brush, wipe the brush against a paper towel I had nearby to get almost all of it out, then lightly brush the surfaces. Otherwise the stain would run as I said.

I hand-made this design 100% on my own, from scratch, using Solidworks. Any similarities to products offered by others are a coincidence and are not affiliated with anyone other than me. My work may be considered transformative, which is protected under fair use. All of my models are for personal use only and may not be sold or distributed by anyone other than myself or the sites I post them on.
