Description

Under Desk Slide and Tilt tray to hide Stream Deck XL when not required.

This model is my iteration of the awesome original model designed by @nicho for the Stream Deck MK2 (15-key version) https://makerworld.com/en/models/881809-sliding-under-desk-mount-for-elgato-stream-deck#profileId-836107

The Stream Deck XL is quite a bit larger and the geometry is very different from the MK2 and scaling up the original model to support the size of the XL didn't quite work, So I've tried my hand at remixing @nicho's model of the MK2 to fit the XL.

My images are a little poor and do not do the finished prints justice, poor light and phone camera flash a good picture does not make!

The model is in 3 pieces, the Tray, the Mount and the Mount Rear Cover, all printed using SUNLU PLA+.

For printing the tray, I turned on ironing after calibrating the settings for my printer and the result was great.  I have not added ironing settings to the uploaded profile just because each printer may require different settings but if you know how to use it effectively, I'd highly recommend using ironing on the tray portion of the design.  With ironing options on, the tray came out very nice and with a minimal little post processing, some fine sandpaper to key the plastic, a spray of matt black paint will finish this off perfectly.  Haven't done this yet.  There is a channel on the underside of the tray to allow cable ties to secure the data cable from the Stream Deck to the tray, preventing it from just hanging down and possibly rubbing and damaging the cable when sliding back and forth.

There are two versions of the under desk mount, one is solid walls and the other with diamond shapes to reduce the amount of filament required to print, infill for all prints is 20%, light and quite strong.  The mounts have 4 holes of 5mm diameter to allow screwing to under desk.  The under desk mounts have been designed to print as they are positioned in the print profile and do NOT require supports to be enabled.

The Mount Rear Cover is designed to make it relatively simple to secure it in place once the mount brim and its residue have been removed.  The cover has a very tight tolerance when connecting to the mount but should fit snuggly.  There are also gaps for a flat screwdriver so you can pry it back off if you need to.

Last thing, the print profile I've uploaded has settings for each individual object so please just be aware, supports are enabled for the tray only and brim is enabled for the mounts.

Any constructive criticism most welcome.  :)
