Description

"When little gardeners love making big water games…"
Our daughter made it her mission to use the rain barrel all by herself: turn the tap on, fill the watering can… done. Only closing it again doesn’t seem to be part of her plan. The result: a flooded terrace. To stop that from happening, I designed a simple child lock for the outlet tap.

The idea is straightforward:
The cap is simply slipped over the tap and snaps onto the outlet pipe. This way it sits firmly in place, so kids can’t just pull it off. Adults, however, can easily remove it whenever water is needed.

The model is designed for a pipe diameter of 26 mm and fits common standard outlet taps (0815 models) for rain barrels.

When it comes to printing, the material doesn’t really matter, PLA works perfectly fine.
