The Grumpy Monkey – Rudeness Explained

This figurine was inspired by the well-known story of the Grumpy Monkey, who struggles with big feelings and sometimes forgets to be kind. I wanted to capture that moment when rudeness takes over — not because the monkey is bad, but because emotions can be hard to handle.

The idea came to me after noticing how kids (and even adults!) sometimes find it easier to show anger than to explain what they truly feel. While sketching, I thought: What if I could bring this lesson into a little figurine? That’s how this model was born — a playful way to start conversations about kindness, respect, and how we treat others.

This piece is more than just a figurine; it’s a reminder that we all get grumpy sometimes, but learning to manage our rudeness makes us grow kinder and stronger.
