I don't mean this in a bad way However, I still find it irresponsible to post something like this here If you explicitly stated that this is for gaming steering wheels, it would be different, but for real cars?! PLA... sun and heat exposure! That thing will break sooner or later, 100% guaranteed! In most countries, just attaching it would be strictly forbidden, let alone using it! Many people have no idea about the materials we print with and think it's safe to use I don't know if you know what you're doing Either you don't know, or you have no conscience Sorry Your model can cost lives

In my country, steering wheel spinners themselves are a gray area, so installing one is at your own risk regardless of the material Steering wheel spinners sold also do not have official certification Even if this part breaks, most people should be able to prevent fatal accidents if they return to steering wheel operation, but elderly people or those with weakened grip strength have no means of recovery, so use by such people requires caution

Where did he say you must use PLA? Your comment is not helping anyone. no conscience?? Really? what a ridiculous statement. There are millions of models that you can print that can be dangerous, its a free market. No one is forcing anyone to use any model. The dangerous thing is your ideas, like censoring creativity. No where did he claim this is certified or safe to use. You should re-examine your POV. Trying to stifle innovation is a very poor idea. You are the type of person that requires HOT to be printed on Coffee. Telling people that design and build models that they have no conscience is absurd. Go sell your 3d printer because it can print dangerous things, you obviously need a warning label on your printer. There are plenty of un-safe things in this world. If it weren't for the unsafe things we have designed and built, you would still be walking everywhere. Its dangerous to stop innovation. If it were not for un-safe things we would never advance as a civilization.

Nothing innovative with this design, it's been around since 1936. Joel Thorp invented it. It's gone by Brodie Knob and a Suicide Knob, Also known as Necker's Knobs in that you an steer with the left hand and have the other over your dates shoulder. I get what you're trying to say, but these are against the law in some states and countries and they do interfere with the feel when driving. I grew up with them on tractors and on larger farm vehicles. The only benefit they provided was aide in backing up with a trailer, or maybe helping avoid groundhog holes. Just my 2 cents, wasn't asked for, didn't care.

This is essentially my first model print. (The white filament is a sample that comes with the Bambu Lab A1.) The rest of the parts are eSUN gray. Everything printed perfectly!

Hi there, thanks for this very functional model. When I first came upon it, I thought to myself if certain parts could be tweaked to simplify it, and also to remove the need for glue. I am very much a beginner when it comes to 3D modeling with some working knowledge of TinkerCad. But here is what worked for me: - carving out a half-torus near the end of the top pin and rounding out its bottom - meshing the top pin with the knob and filling in any gaps + making the top flush - adding a similar half-torus to the bottom end of the pin shell - meshing the pin shell with the body The knob was printed upside down on its head, and the body was printed as shown with 10mm brim around the two legs. The other two parts (bottom ring and nut) were printed as-is. So 4 parts total instead of 6 and no need for glue. Once the knob snapped into the body (which took some force), rotation is free and smooth and there is really no taking them apart (printed in BBL PETG translucent, 3 walls). Have a boost!

Absolute perfect fit on my aftermarket wheel on my moza steering wheel, for use on farming simulator. Great design Edited to allow for 2 x 6001zz bearings. now its smooth with no friction or noise. Many thanks!
