Description

When you buy disposable gas cans they usually come packaged in packs of 4.  Once you have taken one out the rest just fall about all over the place.  If you have a rock ‘n’ roll bed in your camper van you may have noticed there is an exact can sized gap between the bottom of the bed base and the top of the frame.  You can wedge a 4-pack in here until you open the packaging then they all just fly about.  Well not any more!

This model is screwed to the underside of the bed base.  Disposable cans click into the arms, slide back into the stop and are held in place by the small clip at the front.

To remove, pull the front of the can down a bit which releases the front clip, slide it out towards you then pull down once clear of the bed framework.

These will also take standard size spray cans (without the lid) and anything else that is the same size.  If you have other unused space these can also be used upright to use up available space.

I printed in PET-G using 0.2mm and 6 walls to make sure it was good and solid. With 2 walls and infill it snapped on the holding arms after a few uses. A #4 screw fits Niceley into the holes.   You can fit 2 at a time onto an A1 mini bed and take just over an hour each to print. Suggest you just do 1 first to make sure it fits your space and can.  I have tested with genuine camping gaz and cheap homebargain cartridges and works well with both.

I printed four of them for the drawer of my camper van. The holders are very precise and fit the cans perfectly. I printed different materials, PLA, PETG & ASA. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the curves to print nicely. Adding supports and changing settings didn't help either. The lower part where the can's rim hooks in broke off for me. The cans should be inserted gently. Then it will hold.

It was perfect for storing in my campervan furniture! Now they won't roll around on the shelf.
