Description
The MX-1400 Dual Blaster AKA M-14 Battlemaster is a fictional combat vehicle built as a proof-of-concept for multiplayer tank crews for a game called Space Engineers, (screenshot pictured). In game the tank has a crew of 6, a driver, a forward gunner/loader, a radioman, a commander and a second gunner/loader. The tank was the 14th in my ‘M series’ I am building in the game however I also have designated it the MX-1400 as to not conflict the name of a real-life tank. Its armament consists of 1 large probably 100mm cannon with a coaxial heavy machine gun, a smaller probably 30-40mm cannon with three other internally operated heavy machine guns peppered throughout the tank.
I made this 3D printable model of it because I thought it looked cool I know this is not a very realistic vehicle but i'm not sorry.
The model was made on Solidworks, the assembly should be pretty straightforward, I have the profile configured to use ABS simply as those are the materials I have access to, that being said the tolerances of the model itself are tweaked to ABS tolerances (+-.2 mm) so please take note that when using other materials (or other brands of ABS for that matter) you may have to mess with the X-Y hole and contour tolerances in the slicer (but hopefully not). The model you see in the screenshots was painted with Tamiya spray lacquer.
