Creality Space Pi X4 / X4L Heat Deflector
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a heat deflector designed to prevent the air from blowing directly onto spools while drying in the Creality Space Pi X4. The air flow in these isn't crazy but this at least gets it coming out tangent to the end of the spool. Highly recommend using a high temp material for this. I make this out of ASA which is good to about 100C, ABS would also be a good option and is typically good to about 80C. It does constrict the flow just a little bit, but I don't think it should cause any issues. There isn't much going on around that exhaust, so the best it's weight mostly holds it in place. The pins on the plate are used to prevent it from sliding around and are pressed in holes as shown below. Feel free to leave some feedback on this one. Was more of challenge then I expected.
All my other drying accessories can be found here.
Build Notes:
- Bed adhesion was decent, tried a few things and the painted brim worked pretty well, if you have issues with it you can try a full brim, would probably suggest at least 6mms.
- I used hairspray with these builds on top of the PEI sheet.
Pin installation and Install:
- Pins need to be pressed into both holes from the top. They are shoulder pins and shouldn't have any interference till the pins are already poking out the other side. I had mixed results with whether or not I need plyers to fully seat them.
- When you set it into the dryer the pins should rest inside the indicated slots below and the front should about flush.
