Flux Core is a 3D-printed sci-fi lamp designed to showcase the glow of translucent filament in a futuristic energy-reactor style.
The shade needs to be printed with translucent filament.
It natively supports the LED Lamp Kit, RGB Puck Lights and standard electric tea lights. Please be aware the brightness will change a lot depending on your light source, the LED Lamp Kit gives the strongest effect. If you use tea lights, I recommend picking cold white ones for all cold colored shades.
Different filaments will have different appearance in the final lamp. The “light column" effect works best with the more glossy translucent filaments.
Printing:
The upper base and lid require supports, which can be easily removed. Some parts have exposed seams, which should be placed on the back.
Assembly:
No additional parts are required for assembly. First install your light in the lower base if necessary. For the tea light version, screw in holder part to keep the tea light in position.
Then put the shade through the upper base and screw the lower base into it. This will also secure the shade in place. Finally, screw the lid on the shade and you are done.
