AMS Raiser w/ Vent Compatible Original AMS Flipper
Print Profile(1)

Description
Tl;dr, this is a riser
- raises the top class panel of P1S (probably also X1C) like other AMS risers
- has closable vent
- is compatible with the original AMS flipper
I had printed the original AMS flipper before I decided to add a riser for my P1S + AMS combo. But I didn't want to waste filament to print a huge riser or another modified (extended) version of the AMS flipper. I also wanted to be able to close the vent to avoid too much dust getting into the chamber. So I designed this thin riser only to raise the front of the top glass panel a bit (14mm) to create a vent to let the hot air out.
There is also a bar (printed as two pieces) that can be inserted to close the vent to avoid dust when the printer is not in use. I only have a P1S, so I'm not sure if it's compatible with the X1C, but probably so. With this riser, the printer's noise is higher but still much lower than opening the printer's door.
To assemble, just flip the AMS up, remove the glass, put the riser down piece by piece, put the glass back, and then flip the AMS down.
The motivation for adding a riser was that I noticed the chamber temperature started rising to 40-41°C when the days got hotter this summer. I had read some articles and posts saying it should be kept under 38°C for PLA/PETG to avoid problems. I didn't want to open the printer's door due to noise, so I decided to make this riser. It seems able to keep the chamber temperature below 38°C in the same room temperature.
To be honest, I didn't really see any print problems when the chamber was 40-41°C for days, and I doubted if it could actually lead to problems in the future while the aux fan seemed to help cooling the parts down. But considering it could be a fun project, why not :)
