The safety ball is inserted into the trailer hitch (standard 50 mm coupling) and prevents it from being mounted onto a tow ball. It serves as a simple but effective protection against trailer theft.
🔹 Features:
- Protects the trailer against theft – prevents coupling to a tow bar.
- Recommended ball diameter: 48 mm – fits most trailer hitches.
- Top grip (“knob”) for easy removal by hand.
- Possibility to add custom text on the flat surface (e.g., address or phone number).
- Easy to 3D print with light or simple supports.
🔹 Materials:
- Can be printed from PLA, PETG, ABS.
- For outdoor use, more durable materials are recommended: PETG, ASA, ABS+, or PC.
- For better weather resistance, darker colors and UV-stable filaments are recommended.
