Mid-sized Schiit Stack V.2
Print Profile(1)

Description
I've been running a Schiit Asgard/OG Bifrost stack with a Schiit Rekkr in my workspace for a few months, and because they're the old style feet, they bump around every time my desk shifts. I've been really enjoying Bassman117's Modular Schiit Stack (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7042164) for the Magni/Modi/Piety stack in my office, so I decided to use that as inspiration to build a rack for the mid-sized Schiit form factor (Bifrost/Asgard/Modius/Magnius/Jotunheim/etc.).
You will need to print:
- 4 x legs (175 mm or 200 mm)
- 4 x feed
- 1+ shelves (bordered or borderless per your preference)
- 1 x top unit (plain or Schiit logo* vent)
You'll also need the following hardware:
- Soldering iron
- M3 heat inserts (I use Voron's M3x5x4)
- M3 10 mm screws (4 x for the feet, plus 8 x per shelf)
- 4 x M3 20 mm screws for the top
I like the way PLA-CF looks so I tend to use it for these kinds of projects, but if your DAC/amp gets particularly hot, you might want to try a filament with better heat tolerance.
Assembly:
- Use a soldering iron to sink heat inserts into the top and bottom of each leg, plus the appropriate holes at the correct height for your components on two adjacent sides of each leg for each shelf.
- Use M3 x 10 mm screws to mount the feet to the legs.
- Mount the bottom plate to the legs using the M3 x 10 screws. (These can be funky; the tolerances are VERY tight and might need some fiddling around. When I have time I'm going to redesign the plate with more precise holes).
- Repeat 3. for each shelf in your system
- Attach the top to the legs with the M3 x 20 mm screws.
- Place your components into the shelves. The fit here is tight; for the Asgard 2 I had to insert it sideways and then carefully thread it between the legs.
- Wire up and enjoy!
V.3 will have resized holes and potentially some preset hole heights for various Schiit components, as well as taller leg options for bigger stacks not height-constrained by shelves.
* Schiit's trademarks are solely their property and I make no claim to it; if asked I'd be happy to take that option down.
