Description

This is a printable version of the original Bambulab spool with the full hole pattern, the bambu logo, and the spool locking aids.

Each half spool prints in a bit less than 4 hours on an H2D. It take some time to print but it looks so good.

If you change the print settings, be aware that the print profile contains a significant number of tricks/adjustments so the spool prints reasonably fast and well with sharp and well rounded holes. A stock profile should give you a longer printing time and a spool that will be less good looking.

Adjustment include :

  • One wall on first layer (quality)
  • Slower printing speed for first layer (25 mm/s) so the little perimiters for the holes stick more easily (quality)
  • Single perimeters for the perforations (speed & quality)
  • Adjusted infill orientation (speed & quality)
  • Adjusted extrusion width for the perforation area (speed)
  • Small perimeter speed and thresold (quality)
  • Variable layer heights (speed)
  • No Z hop for extruder, expect for first layer (speed)

When using a printer with a single nozzle :

You likely need to manually adjust the following settings (that are reset when changing printer type) :

  • Global / Speed / Initial Layer speed / Initial layer : 25 mm/s
  • Printer settings on top left (click to edit preset) / Extruder / Z hop upper boundary : 0.3 mm
