This is a desiccant container approximately 54mm in diameter and 55mm in height, compatible with the spool holes of most common filament spools, with a capacity of about 75g of desiccant
Advantages of this model:
Extremely material-efficient: only 11g of filament per unit
Relatively fast: single set printing takes about 1 hour, batch printing can be even faster, printing 5 sets together takes about 3.4 hours in total
Optional accessories: I designed a lid, you can choose to print it, or embed a commercially available 41mm diameter round hygrometer in place of the lid
Adjustable holes: You can modify the sparse infill value under strength in the slicer software to adjust the density of the holes to suit your desiccant particles
Disadvantages of this model:
There are many parts to assemble, and to save material, its inherent strength is not high, so care is needed during assembly If the connection feels unstable, you can add glue to reinforce it
Tips:
1. The lid is designed to be quite tight, if it doesn't twist easily, gently press down before screwing it in, opening the lid works similarly
2. The vertical rods of the frame have been reinforced as much as possible, but as everyone knows, FDM Z-axis strength has limitations, so be gentle when connecting the upper and lower frames, brute force will not work wonders
3. The frame's buckles are one-time use and cannot be retracted, do not pull them out after insertion, otherwise, there's a 90% chance they will break
Designing is not easy, if you like my model, please give it a like, I'm new to 3D printing, I hope experienced users can give me more guidance, your comments and suggestions are important for me to continuously improve the model! 😊
