Boost Me (for free)

If this design helped you, or someone you know, PLEASE click that boost! Boosts are 100% free for you, and help me so much in paying for material and printers that are necesarry to make designs like this one!

I created this because I was having trouble getting my Sig MPX (airsoft) rifle to lock the bolt to the rear after firing the last round in the Gen 2 Thrill magazines. This small helper piece fits perfectly in the bottom of the Taran Tactical magazine extensions I have installed, providing slightly more spring pressure to the follower and thus solving my issue of non-functioning last round bolt hold.

To install, remove your magazine base plate, and spring catch at the bottom (should be a naked spring to start with). Then install the printed adapter at the bottom of the magazine extension. This will shorten your round count slightly, but I have found made my magazines more reliable for their intended function.

If your magazine is still not locking the bolt to the rear, consider trying some stuff that worked for me:
1. Flip your spring, reversising the orginal follower and base plate ends. Sometimes this helped for the weaker springs

2. Scale the model slightly on the z axis. Increased height will negatively effect the round count of the magazine, but might yeild better reliable function.
