Description:
I've seen a few other RuneScape runes but felt they were never really exactly what I wanted. So I decided to create my own. Note, these aren't just SVGs extruded out - they were all manually created (Off of my rune template).
I've had success with both hot glue and superglue. Hot Glue works a bit better due to the rough texture under it, so it creates a nice slick surface. However, due to the magnets being slick (And neodymium so strong in my case); using cheap glue sometimes causes the magnets to just pop right out. So I'd generally recommend using Super Glue.
Requires:
- 8x2mm Round Magnets
- Adhesive (Super Glue or Hot Glue)
As for filament colours, I couldn't find a great selection that 1:1 matches the rune colors for soul & astral. The rest are a combination of Elegoo (using their variety pack) or Sunlu.
Print Profiles:
- Legacy Colored: Colored - Requires AMS
- Has 2 Plates with all runes on 1 plate.
- 1 Plate has hole in back for magnets [Magnetic]
- 1 Plate does not have holes in the back (flat) [Non-magnets]
- Has 4 Separate Plates split by colors. This was the way I personally printed it with my AMS on my A1.
- For example 1 Plate for BLACK - BLUE - RED - GREY
- Has 2 Plates with all runes on 1 plate.
- Legacy Non-colored: Embedded symbols w/o color - No AMS Required.
- Has 2 Plates with all runes on 1 plate.
- 1 Plate has hole in back for magnets [Magnetic]
- 1 Plate does not have holes in the back (flat) [Non-magnetic]
- Note: This is meant to be used with something like Resin or Paint.
- Has 2 Plates with all runes on 1 plate.
I have had mixed success with ironing. I think it somewhat depends on filaments and possibly speed. I've had great success with the non-colored options, however, when bringing in colors, they seem to get blended in to the grey causing it to look smeared and bad. If you find a good balance, let me know and I can edit/make a new profile.
