HF Antenna "Angle" Insulator (EFHW)
Print Profile(1)

Description
I think a common problem is having a longer wire antenna than space in the yard to put it up. To fit my End Fed Half Wave antenna in my yard, I had to put a “corner” in the middle.
I initially used an egg insulator but found that the wire bound in it and didn't allow the wire to move back and forth in the insulator as needed. This model solves that problem by providing a radius for the wire to sit in. It allows the wire to easily move through the insulator.
I haven't tested in high winds yet, but expect it will hold up fairly well.
I printed in PETG since it's outside. You can add whatever strength you think you need for your application.

I make models to solve my problems. They aren't necessarily high-interest models. So, I'd really appreciate ratings, comments and, if you like it, boosts.
