Whether you’re an amateur radio operator, a trail explorer, or part of an emergency response team, this mount provides a safe, hands-free solution to stay connected on the move.
Designed specifically for the Baofeng UV-10R, but compatible with similar models, this lightweight holder clips onto most vehicle visors without the need for tools or hassle. Its streamlined profile ensures your radio stays secure and doesn't interfere with visibility or headroom.
Key Features:
- ✅ Tailored fit for Baofeng UV-10R (Should fit most, if not all Baofeng radios) as well as similar UHF radios
- ✅ Simple clip-on installation – no tools required
- ✅ Lightweight yet sturdy design
- ✅ Universal visor compatibility – tested on my Holden Colorado, Mazda BT-50, Isuzu D-Max and Toyota Kluger
- ✅ Road-tested by an off-road enthusiast
To withstand the high temperatures often found in vehicles, ABS or ASA filament is strongly recommended for printing. PLA may warp/sag over time due to heat exposure, especially in summer conditions. While PETG should be fine for most conditions, it may also warp in extreme summer conditions
If your visor setup is unique and this model doesn’t quite fit, no problem, just reach out and I’ll be happy to adjust the design to your specific needs!
🔧 Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: ABS or ASA highly recommended (for heat resistance). PETG is acceptable for mild climates. Avoid PLA for in-vehicle use.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm
- Wall Line Count: 3+ for added strength (My print profile is 6 for maximum strength)
- Infill: 15-25% (Grid or Gyroid suggested)
- Supports: Not required (model is designed to print support-free)
- Orientation: Print flat on the visor clip side for best strength and surface finish
- Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm standard
💡 Tip: If printing in ABS or ASA, ensure good bed adhesion (use a brim or enclosure if needed) to prevent warping.
