Transforming a cup into a pen holder

We all use mugs, perhaps bought as souvenirs during travels, as pen holders The problem, however, is that the bottom of the mug gets stained with ink and ends up becoming unusable as a mug

This quick print solves the problem and also creates compartments in the mug that keep pens more organized

The print profile consists of 3 plates that include:

• Two variants of the object: one with 3 and one with 4 compartments It has a default diameter of 7cm which is suitable for classic customizable mugs bought online or in souvenir shops, but it can be resized to fit different mug sizes (provided they are cylindrical) Further down are the resizing instructions

• a small tool weighing only 0.65 grams and less than 3 minutes to print, which is used to measure the inner diameter of the mug to print the pen holder in the correct size The inner diameter of mugs is usually difficult if not impossible to measure even with a caliper, because the top rim is thinner than the bottom, but for this print you need to know the precise size of the hole at the bottom

   

  Before printing the internal pen holder, it is highly recommended to print the small gauge first Here are the instructions for using it:
