Meet the AV-8B Harrier II, the famous “jump jet” capable of vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL). Designed for close air support and strike missions, the Harrier combines agility, firepower, and versatility, making it one of the most unique modern combat aircraft.

• Its rotating engine nozzles let it hover, take off vertically, and land on short runways or carriers.
• Widely used by the U.S. Marine Corps, as well as the UK, Italy, and Spain.
• Armed with bombs, missiles, and a 25mm cannon, it’s built for precision ground attack.
• First entered service in the 1980s and served for decades before being replaced by the F-35B.
