Description
A routing template for a Floyd Rose cavity. The model includes precisely calculated hole axis distances for both 629 mm (24.75") and 648 mm (25.5") scales, measured from the nut (edge).
How to use?
- Check your scale and confirm the bridge placement: https://www.stewmac.com/fret-calculator/
- Align the (mainboard) template using the cut marks.
- Use hot glue to attach the template to the body – you can fill the holes along the edges to strengthen adhesion.
- Route the first layer to a depth of 6.73 mm (0.35").
- Place the insert with holes.
- Route the next layer to a depth of 11.19 mm (0.5").
- Place the insert for the through-hole.
- Route through to a depth of 29.59 mm (1.1").
- Use IPA alcohol to remove hotglue
- Et voilà!
