Plastic canvas generator.

My first ever project using openSCAD! Initially my intention was to create a “pixel” clay stamp, however I soon realized that it could also be used to create plastic canvases for needlepoint, cross stitch, crochet and latch hooking.

There are in total 2 openSCAD-files from which to generate a grid.
 

Parameters of “Plastic canvas by cell size”:

Use this openSCAD-file when you know the size of each individual cell. You can also use it to create rectangular grids.

• Cell: Size of each cell (e.g. 10 → 10x10mm cell). 
• Cells per row: Amount of cells per row.
• Cells per col: Amount of cells per column.
• Cell height: Height of the cell.
• Wall thickness of cell: Thickness of cell walls.

Parameters of “Plastic canvas by total grid size”:

Use this openSCAD-file when you want a specific total grid size, and the individual cell size can be automatically calculated.

• Grid size: Total size of the grid (e.g. 100 → 100x100mm grid).
• Number of cells: Number of cells to generate inside the grid (e.g. 10 → 10x10 cells).
• Grid height: The height of the entire grid.
• Line thickness: The thickness of each grid line.
