Description

This model contains the necessary 3D printed parts to motorize the jet engine made by CATIAV5FTW. To motorize the Jet engine you will also need hardware parts which cannot be 3D printed, I struggled to source these parts and so I created Kit which you are able to purchase on spinmyengine.com In this kit there are all the necessary hardware parts that you will need to preform this upgrade. Additionally, the kit includes the assembly guide which is needed to perform the upgrade. The guide is extremely intuitive and easy to follow making this upgrade possible for everyone.

This upgrade is well worth it, it is very easy and does not take long, and result in you jet engine working just like the real thing!

If you would INSTEAD like to source the parts yourself then you can! This is also available on spinmyengine.com, through which you can gain the list of necessary parts.

If you would like to print the nacelle for the engine you can do so here:

If you would like to print the display stand for the jet engine with the nacelle you can do so here:

Any feedback is appreciated and good luck with assembly to anyone who would like to upgrade their engine!!

ENJOY!!

I honestly find it really weird that you SELL the BOM and assembly instructions....

Hi, I understand, but this model and kit has taken months to perfect and make work, and so instead of doing that work yourself you are able to purchase the finished product and save yourself the months of trial and error that this took to make. Additionally, you do not have to buy it, the kit is not for everyone and I understand that you may not be willing or able to purchase it but many people are and to them it’s worth it. If you don’t think it’s worth it you are more than welcome not to buy it and try and do it yourself:) Thank you for understanding.

Interesting how: 1. You don't have any downloads 2. the other comment has NOTHING on makerworld except this comment. also, I find (my opinion) things on makerworld are published to share to people for free, not to get them buy a bill of materials... I spend days making a maglev kit, wich barely gets any attention, that is free...

Hi again, All 3d printed parts are free (your option)! Unfortunately I am sorry but I am not going to provide the hardware parts for free as they are not 3D printable and therefore they are not free. This is why I provide a kit on my website as many people are willing and able to buy the hardware parts and it is way more convenient for them to purchase the kit on my website instead of spending hours trying to find the right parts just for them not to be compatible. Again, I understand that the kit is not for everyone. YOU do not have to but it! It is simply there so that if someone wants to purchase it and easily upgrade their engine,(as they know the parts in the kit are going to be compatible, they will fit together and work flawlessly),then they can:) It saves people plenty of time and makes the upgrade effortless which is why I offer the kit on my website. If you do not find that worth it than that's ok! But many people do, and that's why it's there:) I hope you understand.

Hi and good morning - Love this version. Any chance this could be printed as a full engine with a complete nacelle? Trying to build a 1/72 model of the Boeing 787-8 and need a complete engine... well two to be exact.. lol much appreciated, also willing to pay for time and file.

Hi, and wow! I would be happy to help, but can you please be a bit more specific. Do you need just the nacelle but a full one? Like is that the only modification? How will the engine be attatched to the wing? You can message me directly so that we don’t fill up this comment section.
