25mm Silver Keychain (10pcs) - MA001

Description

I designed this ball marker with a built-in stroke counter to help keep track of shots on the course.

  • Two versions included: one with a blank case top, and one with a simple design for extra style.
  • Numbers are slightly recessed faces in the model so you can paint them a different colour in the slicer for visibility.
  • Counter goes up to 9.

Print tips:

  • Clean build plate before printing for best adhesion (important for numbers and spring).
  • Suggested settings: 0.2 mm layer height, PLA.

Assembly:

  1. First put the ‘spring’ into the notches inside the bottom half of the case. I find it's best to have the face that was printed on the build plate to face up.
  2. Then insert the ‘spur’ with the numbers over the spring, making sure to line up the one of the numbers with the bend in the spring.
  3. Then the top case can snap into place. I find that the friction between the cases is enough to kepp it together so no glue required.

Hi @Twmpath ,Your ball marker + stroke counter is such a smart and useful design — the counter mechanism is clever, and I love the approach with the window for number and lots of different colour options.I also really like @Sequo Golf Divot Tool with Marker holder. It feels like these two would pair amazingly together. Would you be interested in teaming up or creating a combined remix? For example, a divot tool that incorporates your stroke-counting with the removable Ball Marker? It could become the ultimate all-in-one green tool for golfers. Both models are already excellent on their own — together they'd be next-level!Totally understand if you're busy, just an enthusiastic suggestion from someone who prints a lot of golf stuff. Amazing work! ⛳

Looks great! That blue is lovely. I've noticed that your spring is installed the opposite way to what I intended, but sounds like it still works? I'll add a diagram later, sorry it's not very clear.

OH! that would probably make it a touch more snappier than it already is. Thank you!

if I could’ve given it a 4 1/2 stars that is what I would’ve preferred to give it. It works really well for the most . The only critique I could give is that the numbers don’t click into place very well, but having a little bit of click is better than no click at all

Thanks for your feedback. Could you give a bit more detail? Would you prefer the spinning part to need more force to spin to the next number?

I would prefer a little bit more force required to change the number. I would accidentally spin it one and a half numbers and get it between two numbers just because it was a little too easy to turn.

This is a fun print. My son just started golfing and was excited to see this. I did have to superglue it together so the outside shell would stay put.

worked super well I only had orange and green available unfortunately so the numbers are a bit hard to see but the marker itself is great

you can't print more than two at a time and when you print two of them one of them will have a blurry 4. this happened on every print I did.

Cool! how much did you scale it by out of interest?

For the 3 parts excluding the spring I used 200%. However, the spring had to be reprinted as it didn’t fit so I measured it and it converted the measurements to 199.51% (or X,Y,Z = 2.13x0.20x0.14 inches).
