Description

Presenting a magnificent 3D model of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, warfare, and handicrafts, depicted alongside her sacred owl. This detailed sculpture captures Athena in her iconic regalia: a plumed Corinthian helmet, gracefully draped robes, and holding a spear. Beside her rests a round shield, featuring intricate relief work, upon which her wise owl companion perches. The intricate details, from the texture of her robes to the feathers of the owl and the design on her shield, make this a truly captivating piece. Ideal for 3D printing enthusiasts, lovers of classical mythology, or as a symbol of wisdom and strength for any display.
Suggested Print Profile:
Material: UV Resin for exceptional detail, especially on facial features, helmet plume, owl feathers, and shield carvings; PLA or PETG for FDM printing.
Layer Height: 0.03–0.1 mm for resin printing to capture intricate details; 0.12–0.16 mm for FDM printing for a balance of detail and speed.
Infill: 10–15% for a solid yet light print, suitable for a decorative statue.
Supports: Crucial for overhangs, particularly under the helmet plume, the arms, the owl, and the underside of the shield. Tree supports are often ideal for easier removal and cleaner surfaces on delicate areas.
Orientation: Print upright (as shown), with the base flat on the print bed, to preserve the detail of the figure. For resin, slight angling might be considered to minimize layer lines on prominent surfaces.
Post-processing: Optional sanding and priming for FDM prints to smooth surfaces. Painting is highly recommended for both FDM and resin prints to bring out the classical colors and metallic accents of Athena's attire and accessories, enhancing the overall mythological aesthetic.
