Stay organized with the Utility Pill Box

EDIT : Added French, Spanish and German Inserts. Let me know if you would like any other language!

EDIT 2 : Polish inserts now available too!

EDIT 3 : Fixed the corners on the original English insert (night & day) & added depth to the lid to account for tolerance. Raw Files and Print Profile have been updated

EDIT 4 : Added an optional TPU seal, both in the RAW files and the print profiles

It is fair to say that the printing community is obsessed with these utility boxes, and for good reasons. The overall design is proven to be useful and rugged. So why not make a version for your everyday medicine needs?

The utility pill box comes with two options for inserts (for now) : One for daily medication (day and night) & one for daily medication on a single timeframe. You also get to choose between a blank lid or a lid that clearly indicates what the box contains.

KEY FEATURES :

  • Snapping hinges that will ensure the contents of the box do not go anywhere unintentionally
  • Easy printing, no supports needed
  • Easy to understand texts and icons

EASY ASSEMBLY :

You will need 6 M3x20mm screws (for the hinges)

  1. Screw on the hinges on the lid with 2 of the screws
  2. Screw together the lid and the bottom of the box with 2 of the screws
  3. The 2 remaining screws go into the front holes, they are part of the snapping hinge mechanism
  4. Slide in your desired insert and you are good to go!

the inserts take up 100% of the height of the container. this means that ANY warping of the material will cause them to no longer fit together. i had to carve off a few layers with a deburring tool to get this to shut. slightly less tollerance would’ve been nice. Also, a nice addition would be rounded bottoms in the inserts like gridfinity bins have so you can drag the pills out with your finger.

Love these rugged boxes. Would probably be improved by having longer hinges on the back like these frog boxes, https://makerworld.com/en/models/16434?from=search#profileId-15268

Had a few fails on the pill insert. Everything is ok up until infill, then it went crazy. Did calibrations and other voodoo. In the end changed infill to gyroid and no problems.
