Star Wars Bad Batch Omega's Bracer Comlink

Hey everybody, I’ve been watching Star Wars Bad Batch recently and I have absolutely fallen in love with it, there are so many prop ideas I’ve had for various cosplays and costumes which are all to come. For now I have just finished making Omega’s bracer comlink and below I will show you a step by step guide on how to assemble the strapping, for this is used 3/4in (20cm) elastic strap.

step 1: 

Loop one end through a buckle as shown above and fix it in place, whether you sew it or glue it that is up to you.

Step 2:
 

Place the buckles on the edge of the inside of the inside of the bracer like above with the end piece facing inwards to hide it and glue the strap to the top side of the bracer with quite a bit hanging over the other side.

Step 3:

Loop the other side under the bracer and loop it through the middle portion of the buckle as shown.

Step 4:
 

Place your hand inside and pull so it is tight enough so that the bracer won’t move but not too tight where it becomes to cause discomfort and then either sew and glue the end in place.

Step 5: 

Repeat the same process for the second strap and enjoy.
 

Pro tip: Put your undersuit on first and then fix the bracer straps over that as the extra layer could mean you need a slightly bigger strap than if you did it against skin.
