Description
Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka is an unfinished 17th-century Mughal fort complex built by Prince Muhammad Azam and later continued by Shaista Khan. It follows typical Mughal architectural style with symmetrical planning, gardens, and water channels. The main structures include the Diwan-i-Aam, the three-domed mosque, and the tomb of Pari Bibi, which is richly decorated with marble and stone. Built mainly of brick with plaster, the fort combines defensive walls, residential buildings, and religious spaces, reflecting the grandeur of Mughal design in Bengal.
