Bio-Ark - Mini Ant Farm
A desktop ornament ant nest, a combination of biology and plants, to add some vitality to your desk!
Design Concept:
Initially, I just wanted to design an ant nest suitable for mini ant farming, but when all the traditional elements were presented, it felt too boring and monotonous
One morning, a flash of inspiration led to this design, adding some vitality to the dry elements, a combination of animals and plants
If a true ecological module were designed, it would require a lot of maintenance; independent management is easier to maintain
Cleverly utilizing the combination of flower pots, it provides shade for the observation window, no longer a lifeless colored acrylic panel
Overall dimensions: 126x65x68mm
Suitable for some mini ants
Two versions are available: without expansion port and with a universal 10mm expansion port
You can choose whether to expand based on the breeding speed of the ant species
The expansion version is not the primary design, so it's highly likely that no other module add-ons will be designed
Ant nest partitioning (ideal state):
A suspended feeding platform has been set up (please do not remove the tree-shaped support) to facilitate observing the ants' feeding status
Some walls are set with a flocked surface, beneficial for ants to climb
Plant planting area design:
The whole is composed of two parts, incorporating bottom ventilation, side anti-slip, and quick drainage design
Please print the parts according to the 3MF settings

It is recommended to use PETG filament
Accessories still use some previous accessories to avoid waste
- PC tube: 60mm diameter x 50mm height (pre-cut available on Taobao)
- Glass cover plate: 60x60x1.7mm
- Magnet: 4mm diameter x 3mm thickness (optional)
- 6mm diameter cylindrical oil stone or 7mm diameter water guide cotton swab (for media water conduction)
- Some degreased cotton
- Some 200/300 mesh stainless steel net
- New: Rubber ring with 55mm outer diameter x 3mm wire diameter (for the lid, optional)
