Description
This is a detailed replica of the DC-17M blaster from the star wars game “republic commando” , working as a water spray gun. This model is using the water spray kit 01 from MakersSupply.
The tank is hidden in the front grip and is detachable. Altough the tank has no opening, it can be filled up by using the pump function of the water spray kit. Simply hold the gun with its muzzle into a bucket with water and push the trigger. The pump will fill the tank. Once the tank is full, excess water will be pushed trough an overflow. I recommend to empty the tank after usage. For that simply lay it on the backside and let the water drain through the holes.
The battery is hidden in the magazine. You can charge it by unplugging it from the gun. The gun has a small compartment to fit the charger of the battery.
I printed the gun in PLA. If you want to use it outside in the summer I advise to use PETG.
The print is relying on an AMS, for using PETG as an support material for PLA (or vice versa). Also right now the pieces are too big for the A1 mini. I will add a A1 mini version in the future.
Some of the parts just fit on the print bed because I don´t use the material flow calibration. You have to turn it off in order to avoid collisions.
I made a assembly documentation, which you will find below.
A display stand for the gun can be found here.
Boost Me (for free)
This model did cost me a lot of filament and time to perfect it. If you like it and want to support me please give me a boost.
If you have any problems, questions or suggestions please let me know.
I plan to do some other variations based on this file (e.g. electronic version with lights and sound, detachable attachments, …)
