Description
After replacing the shade of these pathway lights multiple times (due to my kids or dog breaking them) I thought there must be a most cost effective way to go about this.
I decided to print this is clear PET-G and see how it held up. It has been outdoors in 90 degree and higher days under direct sunlight as well as the cold evenings we get in my state and is holding up great.
I did not make it threaded like the original lamp shades as the pressure fit works excellent and I'd rather the kids or dog knock it off than break it completely but I haven't had any issues with it popping off so far. Much cheaper than a glass replacement and, to be honest, I like the look of it more too. Light transmission is just as good as the frosted glass it comes with.
