Description
Update 25 Jan 2026:
I've just added 4 new print profiles, each with 3 versions.
Hopefully it's somewhat self explanatory, but here are the mains points:
- Added larger grid sizes for 254mm bed sizes and above
- Added Imperial sized grids (in both large and small sizes) - The 8mm tall, 4mm hole models will be the closest to the original Tool Grid I believe. Imperial versions have holes 3/8s of an inch on center, or 9.525mm.
- Made the larger sizes backwards compatible with the smaller ones, provided you have the same type (eg, metric with metric) and the same height (eg 8mm with 8mm) - Picture below showing this.
Tweaked the print settings to take roughly 35% less time.

This is an alternative to the Tool Grid base plate. Designed to work with my other tool grid alternative models.
5mm tall, around 55g to print.
NOTE: I have now added two new versions to this. The first is the same height as my original model but has slightly wider holes (4mm), the second is taller at 8mm and also has the slightly wider holes. I have not tested these but I assume they will print the same as the original.
Uses 10mm M4 screws, these are the ones I used:

Do not purchase longer screws as they will go through the board. (Edit: you can now print the taller version if you have longer screws)
No idea if this is compatible with other Toolgrid accessories. Let me know if they work :)
