GlobeGlow – Wooden World Map
This world map is a combination of 3D printing and wood. The file provided here is the 3D file – the matching wooden file can be found on my profile (link below), since both parts cannot be directly combined.

No laser? No worries – if you’d still like the Wooden World Map, it’s also available here.
Required wood:
- One plate of each of the 4 wood colors
- Plus 8 light-colored plates for the background and connections
Assembly steps:
- Prepare the back wooden plates first.
- Optionally drill holes to guide LED lights to the front and back (as I did in my version, see below).
- Glue the 3D-printed part onto the wooden plates.
- Attach the wooden pieces. I fixed them from the back with small wooden connectors and regular wood glue (a small 50 ml tube from the hardware store is enough).
Details & Customization:
- All EU country names are included, cut from 3 mm black acrylic. Simply laser-cut and stick them on if you like.
- Size is flexible – my version is about 80 cm in diameter.
- LED lights and Bambu Lab wood are linked in the project.
- Easy mounting: just hammer two nails into the wall and hang it up.
I’d love to hear your feedback – should I also make the other continents available?
