P1P/S and X1/X1C - Filament Guide - AMS Compatible

This filament guide extension was designed to fix issues with side-mounted spool holders that lack proper filament support. As the spool runs low, the filament can tug and scrape against the holder, causing unwanted noise and even marks on the printer.

This guide supports the filament closer to the spool, enabling smoother and quieter feeding – especially near the end of the roll.

It’s also designed to be sleek and discreet, blending in with the printer’s shape for a clean, integrated look.

I have printed it in orange solely to contrast the color of the printer, so that the model is easier to see. When printed in black, it nearly blends in with the printer, which i think is neat.

Parts Used

This design only requires three components – all of which came with the Bambu Lab printer:

• 1x PTFE tube (cut to size): I used an extra Bambu Lab PTFE tube and trimmed it to fit perfectly inside the guide. This makes it much easier to insert the filament during loading.
• 2x M3x6 bolts: These came from the Bambu Lab accessory bag labeled “for extruder”. They fit perfectly, but you can easily use any standard M3x6 machine screws if you don’t have the originals.

No other hardware is needed.
