Description
Project Screw Clamp for all printer types.
The design focused not only on functionality and stability but also on making the screw clamp very easy to print even without prior knowledge.
Advantages:
- well-thought-out design thanks to active practical use
- all parts can be printed without support material.
- extremely easy assembly! Parts are pushed together and lock automatically
- unevenness and non-parallel planes are compensated by ball and pressure plates
Function and Design:
- the clamp deliberately does not have a right angle but was tilted 2° inwards so that it nearly reaches a 90° angle again when the screw is tightened.
- Even if it goes below or above a 90° angle, this is not a problem at all, as the spindle plate and the pressure plate are mounted in such a way that they compensate for slopes and unevenness.
- the clamp has a defined elliptical hollow space inside to create additional stiffening.
- Spindle and spindle plate are also reinforced in the hollow space, so that they have increased stability (especially at the transitions) and do not break.
- the pressure plate is simply inserted onto the clamp rail into the two guide grooves and clicks securely and firmly into place.
- the spindle plate is pressed from above with the ball into the spindle after the spindle has been screwed through the spindle bracket until it clicks into place and can rotate freely.
- the pressure plate is inserted sideways into the clamp and clicks into place in the center.
Material:
Materials to be used should have a certain stiffness, such as PLA.
Of course, carbon fiber reinforced filaments etc. can also be used.
