Description

As a replacement for my trusty Xiaomi Mi Vacuum, I chose a Dreame L40S Pro Ultra.
I tried to print two other dustbin models, but none of them were perfectly compatible with my L40S Pro Ultra.
I also took the opportunity to simplify the emptying of the dustbin with a magnetic sliding hatch.

This Dust Bin is compatible with :

Dreame L40S Pro Ultra

Dreame L40 Ultra AE

(Maybe other, could be updated if tested)

Adaptation for other Vaccum :

Mova S20 Ultra

Dreame L10S Pro Ultra Heat

Filtration is done with a simple filter I still had from the Xiaomi Mi Vacuum, centered on the suction port of the base.
It’s this model: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005009330958975.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.29.79025e5bAdGzux&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra

I also added an O-ring at the junction between the dustbin and the suction base (Tor 2.62mm / Inner Diameter 32.99mm: https://www.theoringstore.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=367_23_24&products_id=1148), a model I already had in stock.

https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005005967273724.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.61726a6cib1OvZ&algo_pvid=c6fe87cc-0a62-427c-bfc2-2da9c47afbd3&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22order%22%3A%2246%22%2C%22eval%22%3A%221%22%7D&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A%7Cx_object_id%3A1005005967273724%7C_p_origin_prod%3A

But models with an inner diameter of 33mm and a 2.60mm tor will also be compatible :)

The attachment of the connection plate and its spacer on the dustbin is done with two screws and two nuts:
- 2 countersunk M3 screws, minimum length 10mm
- 2 M3 nuts

Yes, you’ll probably struggle a little to put the nuts in place, but I assure you it can be done :)
The easiest way is to go through the 33mm hole by placing the nut on your finger. The screw must not stick out at the back in order to place the nut. Once the nut is aligned with the hole, just push the screw in and tighten it.

For the magnetic hatch, you’ll need 4 magnets with a diameter of 8mm and thickness of 2mm.
The magnets are glued onto the sliding plate, and then you just need to glue the small finishing plate on top of the magnets.
(It has already happened to me that glued magnets came loose. With this solution, the magnets won’t move anymore :) )

I think that’s everything.
On my side, I’ve only tested this model with the Dreame L40S Pro Ultra.
I could update the compatibility with other vacuums if that information is provided.

I hope this model will suit you :)

Hello, Thank you for your feedback :) I can't see very well in the second photo, but if you can, try to install an O-ring near the inlet of the tank, this will mainly prevent loss of suction through the tank

Hello Like this, I cannot be sure I do not have this robot The base might be the same Try to take a front-view photo without the dust bag to see the position and orientation of the ribs in the bag compartment Take some important measurements, and I could compare them with the L40S Pro Ultra to give you a definitive answer :)

I’ve printed the dust bin a couple of weeks ago, thanks :) however I noticed that dust gets stuck on the hepa filter due to the exhaust pulling the dust towards it and I’m wondering if it’s safe for the dock?

Hello, I think this situation is the same on all dustbin models with a HEPA filter. The suction surface being smaller, dust concentrates in this area. On my end, I empty it once a week. You can also try adding a surgical mask (blue COVID type) between the HEPA filter and the dustbin. Dust will no longer get blocked between the HEPA filter's grooves, and the mask will block most of the dust, without blocking airflow during suction

Very nice! Print was easy on my P1S and it fits perfectly on my Robot Station. For everyone with a Dreame L40 Ultra AE, yes it fits perfectly!

Hello, Like this, I can't be sure. I don't have this robot. The area for the bag is maybe the same. Try to take a picture from the front without the dust bag to see the position and orientation of the ribs in the bag's location. And another important thing (without this, I can't really answer), give me the important dimensions (length / height / depth at the narrowest point (so on the ribs) and the position of the suction hole relative to the low horizontal surface. Overall, anything that could allow comparison of the two bases to know if the bin would be compatible, the more information there is, the more sure you can be that it will work), and I can look at the L40S Pro Ultra or my model for the L10S Pro Ultra to see if it's close :)
