Luna Park Marble Run Step 1
Print Profile(5)

Bill of Materials
Description
This marble run project opens a new chapter after I developed quite a few add-ons for Marble Run 003. The theme is amusement park „Luna Park“. The aim is to create a world for marbles that also has the character of a diorama. Various attractions such as rides for marbles remain the focus. This is only the first step with three rides (Ferris wheel, Roller Coaster and Carousel) that are connected to each other. I hope you enjoy building this new world and watching the rides.
For “Luna Park Step 1”, you need three TT Motor DC5V 59RPM CCW Single Axis motors. It is important to use TT motors with no more than 59RPM, otherwise functionality will be affected. If you purchase the motors from BBL, they will be the ones with a USB-A connection. The Luna Park model has sufficient cable outputs for this. A battery-powered version can also be built.
Developing this model took a lot of time and, above all, a lot of filament. I found that combining different filaments was usually not a good idea. For example, I used PLA Wood and PLA Matte for parts. Since the expansion of the two PLA filaments was different, the drawers did not fit properly. It is advisable to use the same filament for each individual ride and base construction.
Compared to Marble Run 003, Luna Park's base is a more robust base platform with large plates that allow for a more stable expansion. Therefore, the print profile is unfortunately not suitable for the A1 mini.
Marble Run 003 with all my add-ons has now reached a size that requires a lot of space, but there are many in the community who have that space. Therefore, if you want to connect the Luna Park to the Marble Run 003 add-ons, you can find the connecting parts here and skip printing the parts that need to be replaced.
Filament:
- PLA (Matte, Basic)
Build Plate:
- BBL Studio limits the number of plates in a print profile to 36 (at least in the version I'm currently using). I have used the full number, but more plates would be necessary for this model. See the assembly instructions for more details on what this means.
- I’ve been using the BIQUE Panda Build Plate CryoGrip Pro Glacier for several months now (BBL Studio printer setting: Cool Plate on X1C, Smooth PEI / High temp plate on H2D). I've never had a single adhesion problem with it. I've also never had to use liquid glue. Without the BIQUE Panda Build Plate CryoGrip Pro Glacier, I would choose Smooth PEI / High temp for both X1C and H2D.
Plate 19: handrails

Plate 32: Rods
Marbles:
- Max. 14mm diameter. Tested with Marbles from Marble Run 003 components kit http://store.bambulab.com/products/marble-run-components-kit-003

Note: Please be sure to read the assembly instructions before you start printing and assembling, as there are important details that I have not mentioned here.
