Petit Poubelle de LUXE - Where Trash Meets Treasure

Don't let the appearance fool you - this “little luxury rubbish bin” is no place for trash!

Inspired by the iconic LUXE Rubbish Bin, the Petit Poubelle de LUXE is a charming, pint-sized version reimagined as an elegant jewelry box. Hidden beneath its playful disguise, or “glamoflauge”, is a safe, stylish home for your most precious pieces. Perfect for those who love a touch of humor with their pretty posh pieces.

• Captive Bearings in Wheels (pause for insertion) 

  • The wheels are a built-in fidget spinner!
  • My wheels are printed with TPU for AMS. I recommend using TPU as it just adds an extra somethin' somethin' to the print.

• Install Snap-Fit Grab Bar 2x30mm Stainless Steel Dowel Pin - DA013 (Totally my favorite part!) like so:

• Install the M3x25 Double-pass Knurled Brass Stud - AD020 like so with a soldering iron:

(You can also use a lighter on this one; but be careful of cooking the plastic and your finger!)

• Install the M3x5x4 Round Threaded Brass Heat-Insert Nut - AB012 like so with a soldering iron:

• Install earring holder in lid using QTY (4) M2.5 Stainless Steel Button Head Cap Machine Screws like so:

• Install the 608 Open Hybrid Ceramic (2PCS) - EA029 when the printer pauses like so:

  • Any 608 bearings may be used, but the Open Hybrid Ceramic bearings are recommended. They look cool, they spin forever, and they do NOT leak lubricant onto your build plate.👍

WHEEL NOTES:

1. The included print profile pauses at Layer 61 (12.2mm) for bearing insertion.

   1. Make sure you have bearings on-hand prior to printing the wheels! You won't be able to (easily) add them after printing; as they will be encapsulated by a hexagon as shown in the following image:

      

2. I recommend using the Maker's Supply 608 Open Hybrid Ceramic bearings. They spin forever and they look so much cooler!  I know they're not cheap… but you won't regret getting the nicer bearings once you have them installed and give them a spin.😉

• Prepare QTY (10) Stainless Steel Eye Bolt 1.8x8.5x17 mm - FC007 by spreading the eyelet like so:

• This is easily done with a couple pair of pliers, or ring spreaders if you have them.
• Thread by hand into the underside of the removable jewelry tray as shown:
