St James’ Park is a traditional football stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is the home ground of Premier League club Newcastle United FC and currently holds around 52,000 spectators. The stadium is centrally located in the city and is one of England's oldest football stadiums, with origins dating back to 1880.
St James’ Park is known for its distinctive asymmetrical design, especially the two modern, higher-built stands that clearly stand out from the traditional character of the rest of the stadium areas. It has been renovated and expanded multiple times, most recently in the 1990s and early 2000s.
In addition to football matches, the stadium is also used for other events, including rugby games, concerts, and public events. Due to its size, central location, and atmosphere, St James’ Park is one of the most famous and impressive football arenas in the United Kingdom.
